Luckily we have put together a quick reference guide to explain the 6 major still designs and which still design is right for you and your needs. You can download a free copy of this guide here.
Do I need special skills to build a still?
No, our highly detailed plans and training courses have been developed with the absolute beginner in mind. Or plans and training courses take you step by step through the process of building a commercial quality moonshine still whilst building on your skill level along the way. We can take you from an absolute novice and develop you into a professional still builder.
Do I need any expensive or special tools to build a still?
No, when it comes to the tools you need to build your moonshine still we have ensured that every step of the process in building your still uses only basic hand tools, most of which you probably own already or can be purchased at minimal cost.
How long will it take to make my still?
Everybody's life is different so the amount of time it takes will vary greatly depending on your own circumstances and how much time you dedicate to building your moonshine still. Our video training courses give you an entire years access to our training center, giving you ample time to complete your project. Most students take between 3 to 6 months to complete a multi plate bubble cap moonshine still but we give you a whole 12 months access so you don't feel pressured or rushed to complete your build.
What will it cost to build my still?
The cost to build a moonshine still is ultimately determined by the type of still you build. For example, a 2 inch pot still on a keg boiler is going to cost much less than a bubble plate reflux still sitting on a custom boiler. What we can tell you though is that regardless of what type of still you choose to build, it will cost a fraction of what buying a commercially produced equivalent still would be.
